Kind Physiotherapy Student & Caregiver

Hello! I'm Ushari. I am a 24-year-old Physiotherapy student at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, originally from Sri Lanka and currently living in Finland. I am a compassionate, patient and responsible caregiver with hands-on experience supporting elderly and disabled clients in their daily lives. I have assisted with personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, mobility support, companionship, medication reminders and light household tasks. I have also cared for a 77-year-old person living with dementia and a completely paralyzed client, always treating them with dignity, respect and kindness. I believe that quality care is about more than helping with daily tasks: it is about listening, building trust, providing emotional support, and helping people maintain their independence and quality of life. I am calm under pressure, reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team. My Physiotherapy studies have strengthened my understanding of mobility, rehabilitation and promoting overall well-being. In addition to my professional experience, I enjoy spending time talking with older people, going for walks when possible, playing simple games, reading together and helping them stay active and engaged according to their interests and abilities. I speak fluent English and have Finnish language skills at A2 level, which I continue to improve every day. I also hold a Hygiene Passport and a valid driving license (Categories A & B). I would be delighted to provide respectful, safe and compassionate care while making everyday life easier, more comfortable and enjoyable for those who need support.
