Position for a babysitter – childcare in Kotka

A position is available for a babysitter to provide childcare in Kotka. This position requires approximately 30 hours per week. The working hours are as follows: weekdays from 17:00 to 21:00, and Sundays from 10:00 to 21:00. The role includes childcare on days when the child is at home due to illness or other circumstances.

The caregiver will be required to actively engage with an 8-year-old boy who has special needs (Autism) and is non-verbal, using gestures to communicate. The ideal candidate should be kind, patient, and creative, able to handle loud noises and meltdowns with empathy. Responsibilities include engaging the child through activities such as play, singing, dancing, and providing full attention. Additional duties involve assisting with hygiene after meals and toileting, as the child can eat and toilet independently but needs help with cleaning up.

The employer is looking for someone committed and responsible, available for continued work at least until 31 August 2026. The hourly rate is $8 for weekdays and $11 for Sundays. If interested, please let me know your availability.
